4 Free Productivity Boosting Apps

No matter the nature of your business, productivity is key. Luckily there are countless mobile/web apps to help you with that! I asked the team here at Kobault what their favourite productivity apps were are and here are the best five as rated by us!

1. Inbox By Gmail

We use Gsuite for all of our email and Google Services and whilst Gmail itself has been around for well over a decade now, Inbox has been the only tool we've found has actually 'revolutionised' email. A claim that so many other startups have tried and failed to do (in our opinion). Inbox categorises your email and works as a calendar/scheduler all in one!

Inbox is perfect for reminders and organising your day. For example if you're waiting to follow up with a potential client but don't want to sound too keen you can 'snooze' that email for a few days and it'll pop back into your inbox again when you choose.

It also has a bundling feature allowing you to group emails from a certain person, containing certain words, or subjects. Perfect for those bulk emails you only need to check periodically.

2. Buffer

Managing all of your social media channels can be time consuming and frustrating at times. Enter Buffer! Buffer allows you to share your posts at the best possible times throughout the day so that your followers and fans see your updates more often.

You can easily select which of your social accounts you want to post to. Post the same message to all accounts or add context by customising each one. They also have great iOS and Android apps along with some pretty amazing browser extensions as well.

3. Slack

For any business with more than one staff member and especially those who have remote staff members, Slack is the perfect way to communicate with your whole team quickly and efficiently. They have apps for every platform and the free plan should be more than enough for most people.

Probably the most useful feature that we've found is the fact that Slack archives everything. We used Hipchat previously and often ran into the 30 day archive limit which made it difficult to dig up old messages.

4. Hubspot

We've been using Hubspot internally for some time now to track our sales leads and manage communications with clients. We found it quickly became invaluable to us from an organisation point of view as we can see exactly when emails are being opened and track links, etc.

If your business relies on email communication with clients then Hubspot should be the perfect CRM software for you!
